His dark eyes scanned the ivory paper intently but with a familiarity that demonstrated it was merely for show. Clearly the copy he’d sent to Arbogast Publishing two weeks before had been carefully read and digested long before he’d actually walked into the room and sat down. And, by the very nature of his being here and being offered the chance to pitch his credentials to the Director Editor himself, David felt very sure that the job would be his.
